I recently bought an acer computer , it was good looking with windows 8 so grab it . Well after 2 weeks my system battery drained and it was only 4% battery left , i decided to plug in my computer and it started charging , charging light come in and it shows it charging but when i noticed after 1 hour it was only 8% charged , it was unreal but i thought it went in deep mode so taken time but even after 2 hours it was stucked in 8% . I pulled my battery and inserted again but it did'nt work out .
Its main problem with new or old laptops and it takes hell lot of effort to re-actify it . I have tried 2-3 ways to fix it . I am listing all methods here .
Uninstall ' Microsoft ACPI - Complaint Control Method Battery '
To uninstall this you need to right click on your my computer ( This Pc) Click Device Managers , Click Batteries and Uninstall Microsoft ACPI- Complaint Control Method Battery .
When done Uninstalling Just give a Restart . Windows will install this software ( Driver) Again and your laptop should do charging now .
Manually Discharge your computer Battery
Now you need to discard the battery and press power button for 60-70 seconds , yes its kinda weird but it really works . Make sure you hold power button for 60-70 buttons . Now start your laptop on direct power . when it boot completely , shut down completely and insert your battery . It should charge your battery now .
