Most of people join wordpress.com for occasional blogger and later they become addicted to blogging and get audience and want to explore more for their blog and want more personalization in their blog . If you are one of them and wants to monetize your blog by placing google adsense and want to add more widgets and want your blog on your own domain then you should move your blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org .

first of all you need to take a backup of your blog . Just go to your dashboard , Click tools , Export , Choose free option , and your blog would download in an XML file format . ( Download may take a little time so dont repeat clicks on Export ) .

Now you need to follow these steps : 


Step 1: Buy domain and hosting

To move your blog to own domain and hosting , first you need to buy your own domain and website hosting , you can buy unlimited bandhwidth if you want but if your blog fetch 400-500 visitors daily then 20 GB/month would be sufficient for you . You can buy webhosting from any company , i prefer godaddy .

Step 2: Transfer from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

First download wordpress software from wordpress site and go to your web hosting control panel , most companies provide one easy click installation so there should not be problem . Here are some instruction how you could do it

Now login your blog by going your login page which would be your domain/wp-admin

Go to dashboard then click on tools and import .

Select that file which you exported from your old wordpress.com blog .

Step 3: Redirect your visitors to your new blog

Your new blog which you have on wordpress.org is a clone of your blog , your visitors wont come directly there , you need to redirect your existing wordpress to new domain . For that you need to purchase redirect upgrade from wordpress which is just 10-13$ i guess . i recommend you redirect your blog for atleast 2 years .

Most of people starts blogging as a hobby and later or sooner they earn their valuable readers and they want to explore more and customize more with time , in this journey there is one major thing you would like to do  that moving your blog or redirecting your existing blog to your domain . I highly recommend to purchase your domain as its like a digital property , you would really like to have one if you are serious about your online presence . Here is how you can redirect your existing blog to your own domain . This guide is for godaddy users , who purchased their domain from godaddy . I own most of my domains with godaddy and i highly recommend it them since their backend is simple and easy to use .

Hit settings , and click add a custom domain

Enter your domain name , make sure you enter it with 'www' , Click save , you will now get a red error message , dont worry its just some important information you would required to setup your blog .
Blogger would give you two option , choose on a top level domain .

Now come to your GODADDY control panel , Click domains , Hit settings .

Click DNS Manager file tab at the TOP , Click Edit .

Come back to your blogger where you would be showing this screen

Now Find CNAME  (Alias)
you would find CNAME www
Delete that entry and quick add


you would find two columns to fill

1st column www
2nd ghs.google.com

 save this setting

click Quick add again

1st column

whatever alphanumeric you get on left side

2nd column
whatever alphanumeric you get on right side

I underlined the portion which you would get and you need to copy paste .

once you done with these settings and again try Add custom domain . if it still give error , wait 24-48 hours as it may take this much to settle the DNS settings .

how to add categories in blogger

Google's blogger is one of the finest blogging platform , i love this platform cause of its adsense support and it supports almost every widget to customize my blog . But google forgot to add one major functions in its blog call  'Categories ' . Well no problems , there is nothing called impossible in digital world and here i give you a tricky way to add categories into your blogger blog .

First you need to figure out how many categories you want to make .
When you done with your categories count then you need to do this , suppose you want to make categories like Technologies , News , for that you need to add this term into labels of your post .
Once you add labels into your post 

Hit Layout
Click add a gadget
Click Link list

Go to your blog , Click on label which you want to make a category

Copy the link
Write down your category name in New site name E.g.( Mobile)

Paste the link you copied
Hit Save
Repeat same step for all categories
