Micromax would be launching windows phone soon

Microsoft announced Micromax as their next mobile partner in Build 2014 conference , it was an expected move since Karbon , XOLO has already come aboard to make windows powered phone, and to make windows more popular Microsoft announced that windows would cost ZERO for these mobile manufacturers , Now Karbon , XOLO , and micromax may opt for windows phone just like android which is a free offering from Google .

Microsoft also announced windows 8.1 desktop version which features START menu . well i was missing start menu since i migrated from XP to Windows 8 . 

WP 8.1 will come with CORTANA , which is a Microsoft version of Apple Sir and Google Now . It would be interesting to see how Cortana performs .

WP 8.1 will be rolled out soon on latest windows 8 mobile phone and it would come pre-loaded on new handsets .

WP 8.1 will feature The Lock screen and the background plus themes have been updated on the WP 8.1. Users can now select the lock screen themes and also add (home screen) wallpapers with transparent live tiles. Other features added on WP 8.1 are Action Center – that gives notification of battery, apps, short cut to enable / disable services (Wi-Fi/ Bluetooth etc), revamped Windows phone store, Wi-Fi Sense with efficient hotspots and better management,  IE 11 browser, tweaked calendar and word flow keyboard – users can swipe characters instead of tapping (Swype style).
